C4 + Rock Shop + Cole Clark = Beautiful Music |

 Cole Clark make guitars in Melbourne and they're pretty swish things, played by an array of people in the know - including this writer's favourite Tim Rogers from You Am I and The Smith's Johnny Marr- although you're all more likely to have heard of Jack Johnson I would think. Anyhow, last night Cole Clark and the Rock Shop brought blues king Lloyd Spiegel to C4's Coffee HQ and an appreciative crowd enjoyed Lloyd's blues stylings, as well as hearing from an array of Cole Clark's superb acoustics and electrics. Rock on indeed. Thanks to all for coming out, and the Rock Shop for organising this... it was a great night and if you're in the market for a new "axe" then pay those good folk at the Rock Shop a visit and they'll treat you right. |

Hello all, hope you're keeping warm! And whilst we're talking warm, there's nothing like a cup of Krank, Cuban, or Bolivian to heat those hands... it's becoming our morning ritual. Actually it always was our morning ritual. But I digress.
As we move closer to winter, it brings 2 things. Snow (check out those reports, the base is unbelievable!) and the Queen's Birthday! Well sort of. Wikipedia reliably informs me that: The exact date of the celebration varies from country to country, and it does not usually mark the real birthday of the sovereign (the current monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, was born on 21 April 1926). Anyhow, we'll be celebrating, and this means C4's mighty Coffee HQ will be closed Saturday 30 for the Long Weekend. Mark it on your calendars, and don't forget to grab an extra bag of coffee to tide you through... |

 Despite the swine flu, the recession, and the injury to Dan Carter, some days just fill you with a joy that's hard to express on a blog. Today is one of those days... I am mightly happy to be able to tell you all that Cuban is back at C4!
We are roasting it to perfection as we speak so very early next week you'll be able to savour this magnificient single origin... and as always we're not quite sure how long we'll be offering it so don't miss out on one of our all time faves. |

Whilst we're talking about all the events that have been happening we managed to find some shots on the Head Honcho's phone of C4's tent at Blue Dog's Hamner Day Nighter. As you can see we were set up and ready at the break of dawn, and still grinding beans well into the night. To all those involved we hope you had a great time and thanks to Rod at Blue Dog for organising such a great event (and having such great taste in coffee!)... and if you want C4 at your next event get in touch. |
