C4 Coffee Closed for Easter |
|
Monday, 29 March 2010 |
Hi all, things have been hectic down here at C4 Coffee HQ, so apologies on the lack of updates... we'll have a good recap of news soon.
Just a reminder that we're closed over Easter so you'll need to stock up on coffee by end of day Thursday - and you wouldn't want to be without coffee for four days, especially with all that chocolate and bun goodness around - as we're closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, reopening on Tuesday morning for business as usual.
Hope the week's off to a good start... |

Hi all, and welcome to a sunny day - I can almost hear the cicadas in the air, why can't it always be like this? We're kranking along here at C4 Coffee HQ, and just to keep you up to date with all the C4 news...
We have some new training videos up to view - click here to view us making coffee on the Bellman and Otto stovetops with the La Sorrentina video coming soon. These are all amazing stove tops and make an incredible espresso, and all are available of course from C4.
Also we now have in KeepCups, a nice eco-sustainable option to using disposable cups. If you're a regular that flies in and out of C4 for that quick caffeine fix have a look here!
Finally, we are proud to offer Tea Drop teas from Melbourne in store for your non-coffee pleasure. A range of delictable flavours are on offer, as are sampler boxes that also double as great gifts!
Righto! Back to the Roaster and see y'all soon at Coffee HQ. |

Introducing the Slayer... |
|
Wednesday, 03 February 2010 |
|

Well we weren't going to make a big deal out of this and we're still not going to, but since people have been asking and visiting Coffee HQ just to see it - Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we have a 3 group Slayer Espresso Machine.
Apart from the interesting name (and not to be confused with the relaxing music of the band Slayer ) the Slayer is possibly one of the great coffee innovations - and just in time for 2010, aka the future.
It's all about pressure and control over the extraction. And the result in the cup - it really is amazing. It brings the sense of adventure back to producing a shot, and we're still seeing what it is fully capable of. But all in all we are very proud to have the Slayer as our number one machine, and you can really taste the difference as we test different grind and pressure combos!
There's plenty of things that have been said about it, no point rehashing them here. That said, there's only one other 2 group in the country, and at last count maybe 20 or so in commercial environments worldwide, so it's something special and worth a visit.
At C4 and we're still dedicated to the quest espresso perfection even after all these years. Come join us on another step in our journey...

Hi all and Happy New Year! Welcome to 2010, aka the future. Although there's not too many flying cars about... Sorry for the lack of updates, we've been coming back to earth after a nice break and then getting back into the swing of things - roasting beans, making great coffees, and catching up with all our friends who have been pouring back into C4HQ.
What else is new? Hmm, that would be telling.
Anyhow, Friday afternoon better get back to the Probat, but more news will be posted soon and we hope to see all the C4 faithful soon...
