On a cafe related note we also have to deliver the bad news that Cuban is gone gone gone for the moment. It's one of the more popular single origins and we'll be doing our best to get it back in stock soon... righto back to the roaster, see you soon at the house coffee built!

|
Tuesday, 08 November 2011 |

It's Show Day this Friday here in Canterbury so C4 will be closed for a whole THREE DAYS (Fri plus Saturday and Sunday as usual).... so just a friendly reminder to stock up on the things you'll need (ie. quality espresso, delicious single origins, chocolate bomb and the like) for the long weekend! |

Labour Weekend - Closed On Monday |
|
Wednesday, 19 October 2011 |
Just a heads up that this weekend is Labour Weekend, which means the doors of C4 will remain closed on Monday 24 Oct.
It's a good time to remind you to stock up that little bit extra on the coffee, as we're pretty sure that there will be some tired people and potentially some sore heads on Monday morning - and if we lose to France again it will probably be worse. So either way a good shot of Krank, stovetop of Cuban or plunger of Stout will be required...
Righto. Off to tidy up and get well rested from another day of espresso perfection is just around the corner. See you soon at Coffee HQ! |

Bagels and Single Origins |
|
Thursday, 23 June 2011 |
Bagels are delicious and go incredibly well with coffee. Since we have coffee but have not had bagels since we lost the original HQ (sniff), we've decided to remedy this... so ladies and gentlemen you can now come to C4's Coffee HQ2 on Tuam and enjoy a breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea bagel.
To kick off this "bagel extravaganza" we encourage you to build your own bagel with a range of bagels, spreads and condiments such as cream cheese(of course), hummus, pesto, sundried tomatoes and a salmon and cream cheese combo.
You'll also find a sweet treat or two on most occasions, so coffee and food is now sorted. Speaking of coffee we've just restocked a range of single origins... you'll currently find
Papua New Guinea Sigri A
Colombian Supremo SC
Guatemala Pacaya do Rios
Sumatra Grade 1 Mandheling (Fair Trade Organic)
Uganda Gumutindo, Bumayoga (Fair Trade Organic)
Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Oromia (Fair Trade Organic)
Cuban Turquino 2011 (Real Trade Organic)
Indian Mysore Nuggets AA
Brazil Moreninha Formosa 2010
So if you're feeling adventurous or want to take your palate for a journey through the foundation of flavours that we use to make our "World Famous in the Red Zone" blends then now's the time. We're working on a sample pack also so you can take home a range to enjoy.
That you bring you up to speed with the latest happenings at C4 - good to see so many of you out and about and popping in to grab beans and say hello. |

They say let the good times roll but this is getting ridiculous. We've swept the floors though and got the place ship shape and we're roasting and serving coffees as per usual from the edge of the Red Zone on Tuam Street. In other words, another day another long black or five!
At the moment the best way to get here is via Barbadoes (one way south) or from Fitzgerald, so it's a touch of orienteering but the coffee is worth the effort we assure you!
We've also upped our Facebook game and got a new page - so feel free to Like us or whatever it is you do on Facebook.
Thanks to you all for your continued support and take care out there Christchurch.
